BURIAL GUIDELINES FOR GROUND BURIALS
GLEN REST CEMETERY
UPDATED: August 21, 2023
These guidelines are intended to help families who plan on burying one of their loved ones in Glen Rest Cemetery.
ALL BURIALS MUST BE APPROVED AND RECORDED BY THE KERRVILLE PERPETUAL CARE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION BEFORE A BURIAL TAKES PLACE IN GLEN REST CEMETERY.
If the burial is with a casket a funeral home must be employed. Three recommended funeral homes in Kerrville are

Kerrville Funeral Home
1221 Junction Highway (830)895-5111
Wright’s Funeral Parlor
1913 Junction Highway (830)895-3323
If the burial is a cremation a grave preparer must be employed. The recommended grave preparer is
Glen Baxter--RGB Resources (830)928-2554
The number of burials allowed per site are:
One casket and one cremation or spreading of ashes
Four cremations or spreading of ashes
In any case (casket, cremation or the spreading of ashes) a temporary marker must be placed on the grave site at the time of burial. The cost of a temporary marker is approximately $25. Then a stone monument/headstone must replace the temporary marker as soon as possible.
Recommended monument companies are

The KPCCA must be informed about all burials—location and if a casket or cremation will be utilized.
Our web page is located at glenrestcemetery.com. Much useful information can be accessed—photos, notices and events, pictures, and particularly the location of grave sites. You can search by the last name or by location number of the approximately 3,000 people that are buried in the cemetery. Also refer to billiongraves.com to find a burial location on a map of the cemetery.
Plastic flowers will be removed from the cemetery in February and August of each year. Please leash and pick up after your dog.
